Scope and Contents
Contains media guides for men's and women's sports programs at BYU. Sports represented include baseball, basketball (women's), cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, and wrestling. The collection is not comprehensive. Also includes a small number of event programs and recruiting booklets, plus handbooks for intramural sports programs. Media guides were prepared by Athletic Media Relations and its predecessor(s). Materials date from 1930 to 2014.

Administrative History
The Athletic Media Relations department (1996-) is responsible for the publicity of Brigham Young University Athletics.
The Athletic Media Relations department at Brigham Young University functions to maintain the Athletics website, write press releases, track game and season statistics, create game programs, and produce associated graphic designs and videos. It was previously named Sports Information until 1996, when it was renamed Athletic Media Relations and integrated into Intercollegiate Athletics.

Custodial History
Materials were transferred from multiple locations to the University Archives. Beginning in 2002 Athletic Media Relations began sending media guides to the University Archives on a semi-regular basis. Addendum was found in University Archives stacks in April 2014.
