Scope and Contents

Materials include records related to Zadok Knapp Judd Jr. Includes two journals Judd kept while serving in the Southern States Mission from 1880 to 1884. Journals also include patriarchal blessings for Zadok and his wife, Ada, and some photographs. Also includes an autobiographical sketch dated 1944; a history of Zadok and his family dated approximately 1953; and, an issue of the "Red Rock Review," published by the Kanab City Arts Council, from November 2011 that has a picture of the windmill on the Judd family property in Kanab, Utah. Dated 1880-2011.

Biographical Note

Zadok Knapp Judd Jr. (1855-1952) was a Mormon Missionary from Utah.

Zadok Knapp Judd Jr. was born on Nov. 25, 1855, in Parowan, Utah, to Zadok Knapp Judd and Mary Minerva Dart Judd. He married Rhoda Marie "Ada" Howell on January 23, 1884 in St. George Utah, and they had ten children together. He served as a Mormon missionary from 1881 to 1884 in the Southern States Mission. Zadok Knapp Judd Jr. died on March 9, 1952 in Kanab, Utah.
